Attaching the drive cage mounting rail at the rear of the D.
The mounting rail attached at the front.
The case ready for cutting the slot for the FD 2000.

The shape is to allow for the HD board standoffs. This will also give backing to fill the hole from the '71 lever.
The bump is for the recess on the face. I'll remove it to allow the FD 2000 board to get close enough.
The patch piece glued in place with room for the standoff.
Some bondo to fill the hole and recreate the recess.
This is the approximate placement of the decals. The hole needed to be filled and the recess needs to be created.
